Taxi to/from Airports
Taxi or Rideshare from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (MEL)
Taxi ranks are located outside the terminals at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport. A taxi from the Airport to the Pullman Albert Park (65 Queens Road, Albert Park) typically takes between 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs approximately $90 AUD.

Taxi or Rideshare from Avalon Airport (AVV)
A taxi rank is located outside the terminal at Avalon Airport. Please consult the Avalon Airport Taxi page for indicative costs, and booking options.
Rideshare pick-up and drop-off is just across the road from the terminals in the Two Minute Drop-Off Zone. Please refer to the Avalon Airport Rideshare page for more information.

SkyBus and/or public transport to/from Airports
Skybus from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport
The Skybus Melbourne City Express departs Melbourne Tullamarine Airport terminals 1, 3 and 4, and takes about 35 minutes to reach Southern Cross Station in the Melbourne CBD (see timetable, book tickets).
The SkyBus service is privately operated, and does not accept public transport 'Myki' tickets. To book SkyBus tickets, please use the SkyBus website.
Skybus from Avalon Airport
The Skybus Avalon City Express departs Avalon Airport and takes about 110 minutes to reach Southern Cross Station in the Melbourne CBD (see timetable, book tickets).
Accessibility of SkyBus

Public Transport from Southern Cross Station to Pullman Albert Park
Public transport from the Skybus Terminal at Melbourne Southern Cross Station to the Pullman Albert Park Hotel takes between 20-30 minutes, but requires at least on change of service. Please consult the PTV Journey Planner site, or the list of routes below:
A train and a tram
- A train from Southern Cross Station (departing platforms 9-14; check signage for next service) to Flinders Street Station (use Swanston Street exit to trams), followed by;
Two trams (through the CBD)

Trams
The symposium venue is located approximately 100m west of the nearest tram stop on St. Kilda Road, at the corner of St. Kilda Road and High Street / Lorne Street (Stop #27). Trams run to/from the Melbourne CBD along St. Kilda road at a frequency of once per ~70 seconds in peak times, and 10-12 minutes per-route in off-peak times.
The following tram routes connect the St. Kilda Road / High Street / Lorne Street tram stop to the Melbourne CBD:
- Route 3 (Melbourne University to East Malvern)
- Route 5 (Melbourne University to Malvern)
- Route 6 (Moreland to Glen Iris)
- Route 16 (Melbourne University to Kew via St. Kilda Beach)
- Route 64 (Melbourne University to East Brighton)
- Route 67 (Melbourne University to Carnegie)
Please note tram routes 1 and 72 also run from the Melbourne CBD along part of St. Kilda Road, but do not reach High Street / Lorne Street (St. Kilda Road stop #27) nearest the Pullman Albert Park Hotel.
The Pullman Albert Park is located outside the Melbourne free-tram zone, so you must have a valid ticket to travel to the symposium by tram.
Railway
AMAS delegates staying within the Greater Melbourne area may find it convenient to reach the symposium by the Melbourne metropolitan railway network. The Pullman Albert Park Hotel is not located immediately adjacent to any railway station, but two stations are within a short tram ride along St. Kilda Road:
- Trains on all Melbourne metropolitan lines stop at Flinders Street Station, or the attached Town Hall Station (for Pakenham/Cranbourne-Sunbury 'Metro One' line trains). To get to the venue from Flinders Street Station, exit on to the tram platform on Swanston Street (Stop #1), and catch a Route 3, 5, 6, 16 or 64 tram southwards along St. Kilda Road to High Street / Lorne Street (St. Kilda Road stop #27).
- For delegates travelling on the Pakenham/Cranbourne-Sunbury 'Metro One' line, the nearest railway station to the venue is Anzac Station. To get to the venue from Anzac Station, exit on to the St. Kilda Road tram platform (Stop #20), and catch a Route 3, 5, 6, 16 or 64 tram southwards along St. Kilda Road to High Street / Lorne Street (St. Kilda Road stop #27).
Accessibility of public transport

Some trams on routes 5, 6, and 16 along St. Kilda road (near the AMAS venue/hotel at the Pullman Albert Park) are low-floor and are accessible with wheelchairs or other mobility aids. To find out if the next tram at your stop will be a low-floor tram, look for the wheelchair symbol on tramTRACKER®.
All trains on the metropolitan railway network are wheelchair accessible and have allocated spaces for passengers using mobility aids. All metropolitan stations are accessible via ramps or lifts, except for Heyington Station on the Glen Waverley line, which has stair-only access.

Myki tickets
To use public transport in metropolitan Melbourne (including trains, trams and buses, excluding the SkyBus), travellers must purchase a reusable Myki ticket (where to buy and top up), or the Mobile Myki smartphone app. Myki tickets may be 'topped up' by cash, EFTPOS or credit cards at train stations, but neither cash nor cards may be used directly on public transport in Victoria. A trip up to 2 hours is charged at $5.70 (full fare); all day travel is $11.40.
Myki tickets are available, for an additional fee, at the concierge desk of the Pullman Albert Park Hotel.
All venues at AMAS are outside the 'free tram zone' in Melbourne, including the Pullman Albert Park, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Prahran Hotel, the Esplanade Hotel, and the workshops at Clayton. To avoid being fined for fare evasion, you will need to have a valid 'Myki' ticket, and 'touch on' at the start of your journey. When exiting your tram/bus/train, touch off as well, or you'll be charged for a full-day trip.
